zoe inherited quite a cute and funky little wardrobe today... she's happy about having some warm, "cool" cloth to cover herself in. first she received this santa hat from Grandma and Grandpa today!...

then the shopping began...
new "skinny" style jeans for baby!
funky stitching and bling to go along "behind"...
leg warmers for the cozy days....
rockin tshirts!
only because she's our lil blondie ;)
a wardrobe in california is not complete until you have your surfer gear...
and of course for the girly side in her, a cute outfit with a flower... flower power!!...
and the day is never finished until you are bathed, lotioned up and massaged followed by some comfy pajamas!
...after all is said and done we have a happy 10 week old beautiful baby girl!

since i have yet to update in quite sometime i really am at a loss of where to start, so in order to "start fresh" i will post a plethora of belly pics i have taken over the past months.. :)
shes growing big! our last appointment was last week at 32 weeks, and Zoe was measuring at 4.3 lbs, and covering her face from the camera as if she was pretending to be camera shy!.. we'll see about that one.
we have been busy working on her room (pics and post to come soon!).. and relaxing the last few weeks sans a little baby girl.. we are getting very ansey to meet her and for the next phase in our lives..
enjoy the photos.. i know I'M HUGE ;) im reminded daily.

Today marks the glorious day we will learn the sex of our baby!! we are so excited we can barley sit still!!! :)

last night I dreamt that I gave birth to a 1.5 year old baby girl!!! Not only was she a toddler but she talked!! The first thing she said when she came out was.. “What am I going to wear mommy!” then followed with “ I don’t like pink!” hahaha... ohhh my! does this mean I’m creating a monster!? Probably.

As most of you already know there will be no post announcing the sex of the baby until AFTER the wedding. We will be officially announcing the baby’s gender at the wedding with all of the family present. (we’ve gotta have a little fun with it)…. This being said we have many friends and family members who don’t believe we can really keep a secret ;) Those of you that truly know Marc and I know that of course… people thinking we CAN’T keep a secret will make us want to keep it EVEN MORE!! We are stubborn :)

I will post again tonight with the new 18 week baby photo and any new updates from the Dr.!

today marks 12 weeks and 2 days, almost finished with the first trimester!

belly at 12 weeks, 2 days:
the doctor tested for down syndrome by checking the thickness of the back of the baby's neck. he said anything under 3 was good, and our little one was in between 1.1 and 1.3 :)
they took a TON of blood from mamma, to check for my bill of health, and for the rest of the down syndrome tests. the baby was moving quite a bit, which was SO fun to see! when the dr. put the camera on the baby he or she was looking straight into the camera! we let the baby chill for a min before trying to help him move to see if he would move himself, he did a little... but eventually the doctor was pushing on my belly trying to get the baby to move around! the lil one just moved his arms up and down.. almost as if he was dancing!! it was a very cool interacting moment for us :) here is our 12 week photo so you can see how much the baby has grown!! we are looking forward to our next appointment to POSSIBLY find out the sex, if not then for sure in 6 weeks.

I am of course aware that the baby is still oh so tiny (a fig if you recall)... BUT in my defense the doctor DID say that i have tilted uterus.. and this is the cause of my " early showing"

today marks week 11 of the building of baby.

the baby is now the size of a FIG! pretty big... i am starting to feel like my belly is not as much bloating as it is baby/ my tilted uterus.
this weekend sometime i POPPED.. and strangers were asking how far along i was! even asking to touch my belly (not strangers asking that part).

our lives have been crazy as ever. with a busy past weekend, of watching friends in a play, filming a video on the beach, Italian food, movies, Oscars party, and a birthday party!

so apparently every time we go to the doctor, we get to see the baby, and hear the heart beat!
the doctor is also recording on DVD, each ultrasound for us.. so in the end, or whenever we wish to close out one CD.. we will have the ultrasound/heartbeat on DVD!!! :)
being that marc and I are both in love with photography.. we were pretty excited for the first two photos of the babY!

i have always been one to live off of my emotions, fulfiling my needs, and wants through what i need and want in that moment. freespirit, dreamer, lover..
there comes a time in all of our lives when just the "doing" isnt enough, we must find balance.
esp. for those of us who are "doers", that balance is amazing when found, yet extreme difficult at times to find. That balance is imparatitive in life.
less is more.
you should never be too much of ONE emotion, feeling, or character.
as i sit here in my bed, first thing in the morning, all i wanted to do was write.
candle lit, window open, fresh air, birds chirping, dogs barking, sunshine.. these are all things i wanted right now, some of the material physical things that make me happy.
i am a deep person.
sometimes i feel like im not like others, i feel so deeply on many levels.
when happy, its an extreme happiness, filled with joy, laughter, a feeling of rejoicing in my belly.
when life brings me uncertanities, or bumps in the road, my confusion and sadness is extreme.
i feel like i feel on a deeper level then some. i dont compare myself to others, because im different.
arent we all different?
i like digging deep and really figuring it out, whether its a happiness, sadness, broken heart, goal fulfilled, or goal searching.
though i drive myself crazy sometimes by feeling.
i like who i am.
without feeling we would not be human, we would not be living, truly living.
none of these words coming out in the form of a paragaph right now, are negative.
just thoughts.
simply me.
i believe in positive thinking, i believe we are all feeding daily off of eachothers energy, so why not make it a positive energy?
be the joy in your life and in someone elses life to better us all, to help us all live and really FEEL what we are living.
good or bad, turn it into positive.
deep down every soul yearns for that positive energy, in every phase of life.
there shall be no other way to live.

yes. it is true, i can love and hate you.
happy monday morning to me...
there i was 7:25 am.. stranded at the intersection of Sunset and Fairfax Blvd.
wow. that was fun!
it amazes me how many people don't pay attention when they drive.
you don't REALLY realize it until your sitting still in the middle of a hundred fast moving cars all around you. you suddenly feel helpless watching every car not realize that you cant move, and praying that they DO realize before they slam into the back of you, while trying to adjust the stereo, drink the hot coffee at hand, talk on the phone, all while fixing their hair in the rear view mirror.
luckily my silver volkswagon decided to take a nap while the light was red, meaning i wasn't in the MIDDLE of the intersection. just sitting at the light. Every other car around me doesn't understand why I'm not going through the light that is now GREEN?? they are clueless.. honking at me reminding me "hey, the light is green.. GO!'
i was in awe. amazed. at the 7:35 am los angeles drivers.
not to mention, i guess growing up in the south everyone is always more then willing to help out someone in need. a helping hand goes a long way.
i find my self a self sufficient gal with southern morals... living in a big city world.
makes me tough!
i wasn't amazed, but a bit surprised at the number of people who offered a lending hand during the 35 min nap my car decided to take.... a whoppin... 1.!!!
who might i add, decided to throw in the fact that i was "hott" after i told him thank you but i was ok, a tow was on the way... thanks for offering your help just because I'm attractive to you. :)
finally mr. tow truck man found me as if it for some reason was EXTREMELY hard for him to find such a popular intersection, perhaps I was his first tow for the day, in his hungover state of mind.
i finally make it to the car hospital.. (where this same silver volkswagon of mine had just visited last week!)
20 mins. they doctor her up.. and shes ready to go!
i can truly tell you, there is never a dull moment in my life.

this weekend i had the privilage of driving the 405 south to the 5 south along side the ocean to visit my sister in san diego.
i never realized how much i would really miss her, until of course im here for 2+ years. i love california, and all of the experiences, ideas, opportunities, and dreams are right at my finger tips. yet, nothing compares to a sister. the one who will always love you no matter what, the one who will always be trying to understand why you do what you do, the one who will never really get it, but will always try. the one who you are willing to drive 4 hours in traffic to see for about 7 hours and turn around and drive back another 3... will always be worth it. it was so good to see her, and i am excited for the next time... which will be soon! :)

paint. i have been inspired with all varieties of creativity surrounding me in my world. its a great process to see, to know, and to fall in love with.
photography, art, paint, writing/journaling, doodling, movies, acting, imagination, creating.

the process of creating something from nothing. or something from something else. is bliss.
it is an act that only the one acting upon it, can change, modify, or make this into what THEY want it.
im ready to create.
im creating the life i want.
slowly but surely.
its not always rainbows and chocolate, as we all sometimes wish it could be.
but having the ability to decide, plan, and act upon that; creating anything you want.
is amazing.
you can do. be. or create anything within the realms of thinking that you can. then you can!

well here i am!
why do we blog?
for ourselves?
to let others live vicariously through us?
to be able to track our lives in the future on the internet, versus a tangible old fashioned journal?
i still write/ draw in my journal...and will continue to.
but i will give this a fair chance as well.
why not?
there is so much about life to share, and to shout out loud about! so here goes...
